In 2019, at age 27 AJ Bleyer was accepted into the DGA as one of the Guild’s youngest directors. An entirely self-taught filmmaker, AJ’s now known for grand, technical productions- having filmed everything from zero-gravity sequences to helicopter chase scenes for the Fast & Furious franchise. But his journey from shooting with friends to directing multi-million dollar commercials has been filled with countless lessons along the way.
In this talk, AJ shares his insights, stories, and advice for other filmmakers who want to take their directing career to the next level.
