As new ways to consume content are growing (ie. streaming, AR, VR), the load of delivery is also increasing at a staggering pace. Due to these new viewing trends, combined with the expectation of having a quality experience that is the same if not better than broadcast television, the end-to-end infrastructure to support video delivery (particularly for SVOD) has evolved. To render an entertainment experience that is equivalent to (or better than) broadcast-TV, a video delivery ecosystem is required that does not impose a latency penalty to the viewer along with providing a last-mile that is capable of delivering video stream quality on par with standard video or a High-Definition video including ultra-high definition (4K and 8K).
