Female identifying and non-binary operators with varying technical skills and from unique segments of production, will discuss building a career, life choices, family and life balance.  After the panel, there will be Q&A.  The panel will feature operators in Television and Film, with skills including Steadicam, PedCam, Handheld, Dolly and Crane, working in multiple genres, including Single Camera, Multicam Sitcom, Documentary, Unscripted, Multicam Reality Competition and Live Stage Events.  This Panel Discussion is a companion session to the SOC Hands-on Workshop: Women Camera Operators.

The Hands-on Workshop will be hosted Monday 10:30AM - 6PM in CineCentral(C7345) with a paid SOC Hands-On Workshop Pass.  Addressed will be the unique physical challenges and opportunities - see the gear and technology that supports the female body, learn proper vest fitting and how to set up gear that enhances the storytelling and physical demands of the job.  The candid and collaborative Panel Discussion and the Hands-on Workshop are welcome to all and will be presented with an inclusive and supportive context.
