Cinematic Multicam is an increasingly popular technique used in filmmaking to capture multiple camera angles simultaneously during a scene or event using larger sensor cameras and lenses.
We will explore this new story telling art form that is neither broadcast multi-camera with cinema cameras nor cinematic production using live broadcast techniques. This is a challenging new hybrid art form that requires a mix of technical proficiency, creativity, and collaboration to produce compelling and immersive storytelling.
Our panel discussion brings together a group of experts from the production industry to explore various aspects of Cinematic Multicam. The panelists will share their experiences, insights, and techniques for producing thoughtful, high-impact Cinematic Multicam projects that capture the emotional beats of a scene, the importance of pacing, and how to create visual tension and drama. We will discuss the challenges of working in a multi-camera environment around composition, lighting, color, and creative choice of cameras and lenses. We will discuss the importance of the collaborative process, proper preparation, communication, coordination, and quick decision making in real-time.
Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the art and technique of Cinematic Multicam production. This panel discussion is ideal for filmmakers, cinematographers, and anyone interested in this emerging technical and creative aspect of filmmaking.
Speakers are subject to change due to production schedules.
