Today's end users need more and more mutual and social interaction when doing betting, looking at traditional TV, or being in a metaverse environment (such as in a virtual lounge). Hence, video delivery needs to adapt in order to enable fast and mutual social interaction with others. OTT is a well-known technology to deliver video at scale. Delivery latency is crucial for these kinds of applications and has been recently optimized, with LL HLS and LL DASH. But what is the latency limit?

This paper will discuss how to optimize the latency compared to not standardized technology and what we could traditionally do today. This paper will also discuss the benefit of LL HLS byterange- a converged technology maintaining a low number of CDN requests, being greener and also having an impact on the efficient throughputs and storage.
