Smith, Sylvester
Sylvester currently serves the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) as a sales and revenue strategist, providing opportunities and value to members and partners that enhance the broadcast industry. In addition, Sylvester works with organizations to educate them about the importance of hiring military veterans.
Having been raised in the Washington, D.C., area and serving in the United States Army, community service, hard work and diversity have been focal points for Sylvester over the years. He joined the Army in 1999, where he earned multiple service awards during deployments to San Diego, Egypt and South Korea.
Sylvester landed back in the Washington, D.C., area after six years of military service. Within three years of separation, Sylvester accepted a position in the mailroom and print shop at NAB and he hasn’t looked back.
Throughout his nearly 18 years with NAB, Sylvester has also held positions as staff accountant and global sales account executive working with top technology companies at the world’s largest broadcast, media and entertainment trade show.
In his spare time, Sylvester enjoys perusing the internet for the next trip to a beautiful beach, mentoring, family time, gardening and watching sports while listening to music.
