Linnebur, Luann

Luann Linnebur is a video technology and tech partnership advisor, helping to match technology advances to industry needs in real world scenarios. Her extensive background spans four decades of live broadcast and events production and transmission, the transition from analog to digital video, the evolution of video compression, the move from fixed to portable satellite transmission, and from landline and microwave to IP and emerging wireless technologies. A SMPTE Fellow, Linnebur participates in the ST 2110 and other SMPTE DGs and TCs, the VSF GCCG (Ground to Cloud to Cloud to Ground), 2110 Over WAN, JPEG XS development, and has been active in the AMWA NMOS work. She holds a patent in transport stream multiplexing. In 2022 Linnebur revived the company she started in 1984, VideoInfo, Inc, to serve as an independent advisor to end-users and companies considering the adoption of emerging technologies.
