
Starks White, Yolanda
Yolanda Starks White has an impeccable reputation for making things happen. Her career achievements read like an Executive’s “Who’s Who” and include working with some of the biggest names in entertainment. Starks White manages talent; executive produces nationally syndicated radio shows, major television programs, and special events; and provides marketing and branding strategies for clients. She is currently CEO of YoSy Media Inc a full-service multimedia company that she co-founded with her best friend, Sybil Wilkes.
Starks White produced and toured Number 1 talk show host Wendy Williams’ highly popular comedy show, The Sit Down Tour… Too Real For Stand Up. She managed comedian Rickey Smiley. She served as Executive Director of Multimedia Marketing for Radio One’s syndicated shows. Starks White has Executive Produced radio shows: The Tom Joyner Morning Show, The Michael Baisden Show and The Doug and DeDe Show. She has produced talent for television: BET shows and BET J/Centric Shows, The BET 20th Anniversary, BET Walk of Fame, The NAACP Image Awards, The Source Awards, The BET J Virtual Awards, and The Radio Music Awards. She produced talent for special events: The Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage and Sinbad’s Soul Beach Music Festivals. She served as Director Of Talent for Black Entertainment Television. She has had the incredible opportunity to produce a documentary with famed director Bill Duke. She also wrote, cast, and produced the stage adaptation of author E. Lynn Harris’ best-selling novel, Not A Day Goes By, which successfully toured the country.
Yolanda Starks White has penned several non-fiction books including Jewels from My Father, Jewels Your Mother Should Have Taught You and Pocket Size Jewels, a self-help manual for young women. Starks White won the Queen Latifah Project Confidence Award for the workshops that she gives around the country. She also has written several fiction books including, How Did I End Up Here, The Preacher, His Wife and His Friend and A Slice Of Life.
Yolanda Starks White graduated from Texas Christian University with a B. S. degree in Journalism. Starks White known for over 25 years in the entertainment industry as “Yogi” became a “Yogi” in the wellness community as a yoga instructor. She currently owns a yoga studio in Fort Worth. Yolanda Starks Whites resides in Fort Worth, Texas with her husband Ward White IV, ESQ and two puppies Ramsey and Lawler.
