Musso, Roberto

Roberto Musso began his career in 1979 at Wang Laboratories, where he was part of the personal computer revolution that began in the 80s and continues to this day. During the 90s, he became interested in computer graphics and devoted a lot of time and effort to expanding his knowledge of 2D and 3D animation.

Between 1992 and 1999, Roberto worked with several video technology companies in Italy as a pre-sales and project manager, actively contributing to the innovation of desktop video. Between 1999 and 2016, he took on a new role as a sales agent and developed the NewTek distribution channel in Europe.

In 2016, Roberto founded MediaNews S.r.l., a video service provider for live sports and event production. The company serves clients such as Fox Sports, Lega Volley Serie A1 Femminile, Volleyball European Champions League, World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championship, RAI Sport, Sky Italy, ISU – Figure Skating Junior Gan Prix, and many others. This experience has given Roberto a deep understanding of all aspects of the live production workflow, and MediaNews OB Van is now "SDI Free," fully based on NDI technology.

Since 2019, Roberto has been a Regional Product Manager for IP at Vizrt, and he recently moved to the NDI organization as Technical Product Marketing Director. In addition to his career in technology, Roberto is a bass player who has studied jazz improvisation for 20 years, and his passion for music has had a profound impact on his life and career. NDI is in his DNA.
