at Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters
As a young kid fascinated with the magic of radio, Vance Harrison started his career in 1978 at WXRT FM in Chicago. Ten years later in 1988, Vance moved to Oklahoma as the General Manager of KOMA AM/FM and KRXO FM. After a successful run and an ownership change, Vance's responsibilities were expanded to include management of KMGL FM when it was added to the radio cluster, as well as the oversight of KBEZ FM and KHTT FM in Tulsa from 2000-2004.
Under Vance's direction, community service, strong business practices, and ratings success were always expected from the stations.
Vance also managed the University of Oklahoma Radio Network from 1991-1998, and was a founding partner of Sooner Sports Properties from 1998-2004.
Since 2007 Vance has been the President of the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters, the trade association that advocates for all radio and television stations throughout the State, giving him the pleasure to engage with and assist all Oklahoma Broadcasters.
