Vance started his career at WXRT FM in Chicago and then moved to Oklahoma in 1988 to be Managing Partner of KOMA and KRXO Radio. After a successful run that included the addition of KMGL FM in OKC and the formation of Sooner Sports Properties (University of Oklahoma Athletics Media) the stations were sold. Vance stayed with the business he loves and since 2007 has been the President of the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters.
