Tariq I. Mondal is VP, Advanced Technology at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) in Washington, DC. He is involved in innovation projects, strategic investments, Next Gen TV system development, and Next Gen TV audience measurement. He is an expert in wireless communications, signal processing, software development, and wireless geolocation.
Prior to joining NAB, Tariq worked in R&D divisions at CommScope and Andrew Corporation for eight years. He led cross-functional teams, managed projects, developed products, and managed patent portfolios. Prior to Andrew Corporation, Tariq worked at Hughes Network System for eight years designing wireless and satellite communication systems, developing wireless modem ASICs, implementing receiver algorithms in DSP, and developing embedded software for satellite receivers.
Tariq holds BS in Electrical Engineering from BUET, MS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and MBA from Robert H. Smith School of Business at University of Maryland. He is the inventor/co-inventor of 20 PNT-focused patents.
