Vice President of Engineering at National Association of Broadcasters (NAB)

Kelly Williams is the Vice President, Engineering and Technology Policy in NAB’s Technology Department.  Kelly joined NAB in 1989. During his tenure he has focused on broadcast technology innovation and has managed a diverse portfolio of technical, regulatory, and legislative issues.  Currently, he runs NAB’s ATSC 3.0 laboratory.  In addition to Next-Gen Television deployment, Kelly focuses on cyber security policy, video accessibility as well as, the Emergency Alert System and public alerting.

Prior to joining NAB, Kelly held various engineering positions at WHMM-TV (now WHUT-TV) in Washington D.C.  He is a member of IEEE, SBE and SMPTE.

Kelly has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Howard University.  He and his wife Jan have six grown children and resides in Washington, D.C.
