Dmitriy Sokolovskiy is a Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Security Officer for Avid Technology. As the CISO, Dmitriy is leading an Information Security program based on NIST CSF and CSA CCM frameworks. As the CSO, Dmitriy is leading a Secure Development Lifecycle program based on the SAMM framework.
From 1999 to 2007 he had first-hand experience with all facets of IT, including datacenter operations, and NOCs and SOCs as an employee and a consultant for defense contractors, public and private financial, and medical companies, and non-profit organizations.
Between 2007 and 2018, Dmitriy spent 11 years at CyberArk Software building and leading the Americas Implementation Services team (part of the overall PS department), personally participating in privileged and application identity management projects for some of the largest companies in the world, and incident response and remediation activities for some of the largest breaches in US history, with the final 2 years serving as a Cloud Security Architect for CyberArk SaaS products utilizing CSA CCM and CIS CSC.
Dmitriy holds Boardroom Qualified Technical Expert (QTE) certification from the Digital Directors Network (DDN) and serves on Advisory Boards for multiple information security start-ups, such as Oort, Exium, SaaSLicense (acquired by Apptio), and advises venture capital, and private equity firms.
He’s a member of the GIAC Advisory Board and holds the GIAC GISF & GCED certifications and the ISC2 CISSP certification. Dmitriy served as a SANS Community Mentor for all of these certifications, and later as a SANS Teacher Assistant for GISF, as part of the Certified SANS Instructor program.
Dmitriy is also a CrossFit coach (retired), a yoga junkie and a huge Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics fan.
