Senior Vice President, Product Management at Nielsen

Jennifer Carton is Nielsen’s Senior Vice President, Product Management, responsible for driving coverage, consistency, and comparability for Nielsen One Content audience measurement, including Video, Audio, and Digital. Before taking on this expanded role, Jen was the SVP of Audio Product Management. Prior to that, Jen held several leadership roles in Nielsen across Local and National TV measurement.  


Before joining Nielsen, Jen managed the Cross-Platform Product team at Arbitron where she developed and launched the company's first advertising effectiveness business.  This was an outgrowth of her role in the Nielsen-Arbitron joint venture, Project Apollo, where as Product Manager she was responsible for executing the vision of direct commercial audience measurement for TV.   


Before leading initiatives in audience measurement and ad effectiveness, Jen was involved in Strategic Planning in the Telecom and B2B eCommerce industries.    


She has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Penn State University and an MBA from the University of Maryland, where she went on also to earn a Master of Science degree in Information Systems, focusing on data systems design.
