Spaderna, Sally
Sally Spaderna is the Rentals Manager of Koerner Camera System (Portland) and has been wearing various hats in the world of media production since filmmaking was done with film and editing was done on CMX systems. Sally graduated with two degrees from NYU and immediately began two divergent career paths. During the day, she wrote and produced documentary style news for network television, and at night she stage managed Off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway plays. Her transition to film sets began a decade later when she moved back to her beloved home state of Oregon.
Sally found herself working more and more in the smaller market as camera assistant and visiting the local rental house to shadow camera preps and practice loading film. She found that the best place to learn the ins and outs of film production was either next to the camera on set, or next to a camera at the rental house. In 2013, her experience as both producer and camera assistant led her to take the job which was finally the perfect fit. As the Rentals Manager at Koerner Camera in Portland, Oregon, Sally is committed to innovative forms of ethical filmmaking, sustainable production practices, and supporting bold new voices. When not behind her desk, Sally can be found exploring the wilds of the Pacific Northwest with her dog Beezus.
