
Song, Jungsu
Jungsu Song is the Vice President and CEO of the Korea Radio Promotion Association (RAPA).
For more than 30 years, he has contributed to the creation of a radio broadcasting industry system that encompasses both the public and private sectors. In recognition of his industrious efforts, he was elected Vice President and CEO of RAPA in 2021. RAPA promotes various projects through the establishment of four key promotion strategies: promoting the radio broadcasting industry, creating a sustainable radio environment, fostering the next-generation content industry, and training digital human resources. With his expertise and abundant field experience, CEO Song is currently leading RAPA to become a center of industry-government cooperation.
Before leading RAPA, he served as an Industrial Technology Division director, the Director of the Trade Negotiation Division at the Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Director of Network Planning Protection and the Director of Convergence Policy at the Korea Communications Commission.
Later in his career, as the Director General of ICT Information at the Ministry of Science and ICT, he upgraded the cybersecurity system in preparation for a hyper-connected society that is slated to come in the 4th Industrial Revolution. In addition to his career within the South Korean government, he was an ICT Policy Specialist at the World Bank Group for two years, having a cosmopolitan outlook at establishing technology policies.
CEO Song holds an LL.B. from Korea University, an M.A. in Telecommunications from George Washington University, and a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Seoul National University.
