Jay Bailey - VP of Licensing, Veritone
Jay Bailey leads the content licensing team at Veritone. With over twenty years of media experience, Jay has played a key role in establishing Veritone as an industry leader in representing premier media collections in the world of sports, news, entertainment and user-generated content.
Over the course of his twelve-year tenure at Veritone, Jay’s primary focus has been establishing partnerships with premium rights holders. His successes include CBS News, Bloomberg News, The Los Angeles Times, and South China Morning Post. Jay has a laser-focused approach when establishing new partnerships with two key goals as a foundation-create a significant, additional revenue stream for Veritone’s partners, while also maintaining the integrity of their brand.
Jay also manages a talented group of licensing experts who work closely with all major digital platforms, studios, networks, production companies, and documentarians. His team provides white-glove service to content creators who are searching for unique moments that can complement their story or drive their narrative. Jay and the team have had the pleasure of working on critically acclaimed projects such as King Richard, Elvis, Ken Burns Ali, Narcos, and Succession.
Finally, Jay is incredibly passionate about the power of artificial intelligence and how it can dramatically improve the licensing experience while also supporting the creation of new and compelling content. Jay is engaged in numerous discussions with media and sports properties on how generative AI can positively impact their business and future.
Jay earned a Bachelor’s degree in Television, Radio, and Film Management from Syracuse University.
